With that said, these do make interesting sets that you and a friend or family member can build together. The Arwen Brickheadz opts for simplicity, with a few subtle details such as her headpiece, and pale green dress that she wore to Aragorn’s coronation. When I heard the news from Promobricks of the possible revival of The Lord Of The Rings LEGO Theme, I was like: “One does not simply revive LEGO LOTR” and I thrilled if this turns out to be true. A nice little addition to really bring the character to life is the printed tile for the front of his torso, which has Frodo’s brown vest, and the Elven leaf brooch which really ties the entire ensemble together. The Balrog is slightly bigger than most BrickHeadz and Gollum is built in the smaller ‘Buddiez’ style.

The focus of these sets seems to be pairs of characters that have some sort of connection to each other. I really hope we continue to see more Lord of the Rings Brickheadz – it would be silly, if LEGO did not commit to eventually releasing the entire Fellowship in Brickheadz form. Frodo comes as a full-size LEGO BrickHeadz figure wearing a brick-built cloak and holding the ring and a sword. But that still leaves one possible avenue to building (or rebuilding) our LEGO The Lord of the Rings minifigure collections: if Rivendell exists, and is designed to sit happily with minifigures, we could arguably see a laundry list of characters included in the box (akin to 76178 Daily Bugle, 75978 Diagon Alley and so on).
